as tho im not worked to the shits enuff by mediacorp, ive accepted more jobs with other directors to be their PA in a couple of more commercial shoots. haha one thing about working with non mediacorp directors is that you reallie see their passion for the art. you can be a total greenhorn and they spend time over lunch with you explaining the difference between a 16mm film and HDV; they dun care how tight their budget is, they just focus on bringing the effects that they wan. most ppl in mediacorp jst do wat they do for a living and they all discourage ppl from working in this line, cause apparently "it sux" haha but i guess they can't help it cause the pressure in there given from above is unbelievable.

im beginning to have a clearer picture of wat i wanna do in the future, that is to venture into this line. still everything is a vague idea. there's so many things that you can do in this particular industry! you can be a director, a photographer, director of photography, stylist, art director, artiste manager, location scouts, props master, editor..

sometimes i sit in these meetings where ppl brainstorm abt their ideas for film, some are reallie awesome stuff that you can turn into a hollywood blockbuster but they have to compromise cause of the lack of funding in sg. its reallie a damn shame man.
