how happy is the blameless vestal's lot
the world forgetting, by the world forgot
eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd

eloisa to abelard -alexander pope

the entire poem is about 366 lines long. based on a story abt some dude called abelard who had an affair with this gurl called heloise. soon she got pregnant and married abelard in a secret marriage. but this was not a satisfactory arrangement to heloise's uncle so one night he sneaked into abelard's room and castrated him (gad). in the end heloise became a nun and abelard a monk. this poem is thus abt heloise's longing of abelard while she was in the nunnery. i tink i blogged abt this poem before but i guess these verses still never fail to captivate me.

nonetheless i tink it is still the movie 'eternal sunshine of the spotless mind' that played an even bigger role in making this verse so beautiful. how nice it wld be to have a spotless mind and eternal sunshine. and when life becomes too painful to bear wld you erase ur memories of all that cause ur suffering, ur emotional burdens, cynicism..
the past, the people

i dun need my mind to be spotless. but there is a spot in my mind that has eternal sunshine
for the past, for people, for you

*

i can deal
with the grey sky tears
and long nights filled with lukewarm coffee
sleepless emotions to stare
from each corner
of dark curtains that drape
across my eye
nebulous fountain of the cold and woeful spirits
that wallow on the walls
haunted

*

just don't
let school reopen
i so can't deal with that
:( :(:(
i am majorly majorly majorly depressed
damn school
damn damn school and assignments and Alevels and yap who i predict will the pain in the ass
penanis!!!
